Hello! I’m Celine and I write about books, food, and surviving life in the city, with a wild heart. Paid subscribers help keep the lights on and the oven warm. Why not join the community?
Before I dive into this week’s content, I just have to make sure everyone saw the sturgeon super moon?
It’s been a bit of a wild and wobbly week; for myself and I’ve definitely had the same feedback from others. To be clear, I blame the moon completely. However, I saw it Tuesday night as I was riding my bike home… rising up behind the city, casting its light over the land and then drifting into the clouds above.
It was big and beautiful, and so, really hard to remain mad at it. Not fair moon, but well played indeed.
So, with all this full moon madness, perhaps it really is a good time to dive into the next chapter of our series on meditation. Just a two-parter for now, with more content to emerge later on down the track. Read part one, if you haven’t already.
Noting that this week’s newsletter is available to paid subscribers only. A paid membership compensates writers for time spent on (ad-free) resources like this newsletter, within an internet that is not-so-slowly turning into AI-generated mush. It’s also affirmation that people support this work and are interested in it, which is a nice one for the feels.
And in a first, What’s Cooking is offering 20% off an annual membership for the next seven days (usually $60AUD). If you’ve been thinking about signing up, then strike while the iron is hot, or cheaper, as it were.
On starting a regular meditation practice
One consideration straight off the bat, is having a good hard think about what’s going to work best for you.
